In 1981 Wolf formed the guitar instrumental group "The four Windows". He was the lead
guitarist and after a year of rehearsing once a week, the group won best of Swiss TV's
talent show Sprungbrett (= Jumping Board), EMI offered Wolf and the band a 5 year
record contract and gave Wolf the nick name “Long tall Wolfie”. The group recorded
several singles and the album "IDENTITY", from which EMI singled out Wolf's
composition "Lonely Seagull. It became the summer hit of 1982 and received extensive
airtime on all radio stations.
